Our client based in Leeds is a company specialising in the design, development and delivery of complex energy strategies. Due to continued growth we are seeking an Energy Engineering Program Manager who should have relevant Systems/Project Management Engineering capabilities with Software and Hardware control systems design experience. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to work on a number of very exciting yet challenging projects, which will push your engineering and leadership skills.
The ideal candidate’s abilities would also be analytical and number orientated but with good leadership skills, backed up with practical engineering principles. The ideal person will need to be a strong team leader with previous energy exposure and or project management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide engineering conceptual and detailed design and technical solutions to support the delivery of customer-funded projects.
• Provide verification and validation of engineering designs and cost appraisals with ROI calculations.
• Assist clients with activity planning, budgeting and quotation verification.
• Evaluate and understand task/project requirements to design and select the relevant technology for the prescribed reduction programs.
• Evaluate suggested reduction solutions from feasibility, cost and assess maintenance requirements and manage customer budgetary requirements.
• Write specifications, user manuals, and fully document engineering designs.
• Support the Clients energy team across the systems.
• Train and coach other staff in order to enhance team competencies.
• Deliver findings, further savings and energy awareness schemes for the retention and enhancement of the clients business.
Experience & Qualifications:
• A Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Systems/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable experience covering a range of engineering and/or technical topics including design, analysis, specification and validation.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective liaison with other engineering disciplines, technical solution providers and with the client at the highest level.
• A working knowledge in the design and programming of software/hardware based control and monitoring systems.
• Experience of development using a formal design process within an ISO9001 environment and an understanding of ISO50001 and its workings.
• Highly proficient with IT systems including infrastructures and telemetry with excellent PPT and Excel skills.
