Junior Data Scientist Lichfield

Brand new role working for a financial services organisation based in Lichfield. This newly created data scientist role will see you working in the data and insight team to analyse data and derive results that will aid in the decision making process in the company. This role will see the successful candidate applying statistical and analytical knowledge to the data assets of the company.
To be successful in this role you should have knowledge and experience in SQL and other relational databases, statistical tools such as R and knowledge of Big Data Platforms and Technologies. Experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches and manipulating and analysing complex, high volume high dimensional data from varying sources.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Analysing data in line with their marketing campaigns
Aid in development of data driven initiatives to support the organisational operations.
Working closely with the IT services team to provision platforms for efficient data analysis
Aidi n the development of procedures and capabilities that will reduce the time to insight and aid in the collection of new data and existing data for analytical purposes.

Working as part of the data and insight team the successful candidate will ideally be degree educated in a Maths, Computer Science or Statistical degree may be a recent graduate.

Based in Lichfield this role is located close to the train station, so is easily commutable from the local area and in return for your skills my client is looking to pay a generous salary up to GBP22000 plus benefits.
