Chemistry NQT- Outstanding Grammar School

Are you a newly qualified teacher (NQT) looking to work in an outstanding grammar school?

Athona Recruitment is currently seeking to appoint an NQT in Chemistry or a Chemistry teacher early in their career to join an outstanding grammar school based in North Kent. This is to commence a permanent contract to start in September 2015.

Job Description:

• The role entails teaching Chemistry to academically high achieving pupils.


• The successful applicant will be expected to:
  - Effectively teach the full range of time-tabled courses in Chemistry.
  - Assist in developing schemes of work, resources and teaching strategies.
  - Assess and mark work, monitor pupils' progression and raise attainment levels.
  - Deliver engaging and fun lessons, which inspire pupils to challenge their own learning.
  - Employ the highest standard of teaching in the classroom.
  - Communicate effectively and appropriately with staff, pupils and parents.

You will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status - NQTs perfect for this role!


• An understanding of the curriculum and knowledge of any current issues and developments within it.


• Up to date DBS check.
