We are seeking a Payroll Service Analyst to help deliver changes and improvements to our HR services, managing associated risks, costs and quality measures. Working with various teams across the business and our own HR department. The purpose is to deliver fit for purpose BAU services, improving and managing any changes that will enhance control, automation and end user experience.

This role reports to the Projects and Payroll Change Manager, a team which sits within the HR Operations Change Delivery Department and reports directly to the Senior Manager for Governance, Service and Change. The team manages technical and non-technical projects relating to HR and Payroll Operations, is responsible for running the monthly payrolls including incident resolution and provides SME support and training across the department.

As a Service Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Deliver projects/initiatives to improve service delivery
  • Manage risks, issues and dependencies
  • Manage communication plan to ensure successful integration into the business
  • Ensure correct change and control process is used to implement changes
  • Carry out User Acceptance Testing on all system changes relating to payroll and allocated projects
  • Support pre and post payroll running providing backup
  • Identify, analyses, and resolve problems relating to payroll processing, raising support incidents where necessary
  • Support cyclical payroll processes including tax year end/start, P60's and P11D production
  • Participate in audit testing and SOX controls ensuring compliance

What we will be looking for in you:

  • Previous experience of payroll processing and related tasks
  • Excellent analytic skills
  • Familiar with project management techniques
  • Report/script writing experience
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Peoplesoft experience desirable

Salary: GBP25,000-29,999 per annum
