Support Worker and Senior Support Worker Opportunities (Care, Assistant) BLUS19519
Poole
£7.50 – £9.50 p/hr

Full time 37.5 hrs / Part Time – various hrs/ Bank

Founded in 1988, our client is one of the UK's largest health and social care charities. They support a variety of people to increase their independence and engage as fully as possible within their communities. They have grown to provide a wide range of innovative and bespoke support services to over 5000 people living in England and Scotland.

Our client is working towards a bold aspiration to become the UK’s leading health & social care provider.

With this in mind, they are now looking to recruit a number of Support Workers (Full Time & Part Time) and Senior Support Workers (Full Time) to cover the Poole area working in their Residential and Supported Living Services where people need support 24 hours a day.

As a Support Worker you will ensure that personalised support is provided to people in accordance with their personalised plans, the organisation’s values and within an ethos of ‘just enough support’.  You will be expected to support people to meet their assessed needs and will provide support in all appropriate activities to enhance life and increase independence for the individuals. As a Senior Support Worker, you will also help to lead the team and have light administration duties.

With a good value base, the successful candidate will be motivated, confident and will put the person they are supporting at the heart of everything they do.

With the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, you will have good interaction and communication skills, as well as a passion for supporting people. Excellent record keeping skills are important and we ask that candidates are flexible as they will be required to work a variety of shifts, including night duties and sleep-ins.

A Level 2 (in Health and Social Care Diploma) or similar qualification and experience of working with people with learning disabilities in a community setting would be advantageous, however this is not essential.  We offer Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care Diploma training (subject to eligibility), we ask that you study in your own time but it is fully funded.

We are committed to being an equal opportunities employer
