Science Teacher General

Uteach presents a unique opportunity for a Teacher of Science located in a secondary school in the county of Cambridgeshire. This post commences in September 2015 and whilst temporary, it has the possibility of becoming permanent.

This school aims for all its students to be well-rounded, confident, caring young people who are motivated to achieve their best and leave as life long learners equipped to build on their success and contribute positively to the future. In its most recent inspection, Ofsted awarded the school a Grade 2 'Good' with the report stating that the headteacher is working effectively with senior leaders and staff to drive improvement forward. Teaching is good, and at times outstanding, which is reflected in attainment and progress increasing in all key stages. Students behave well and have very positive attitudes to learning.

There are approximately 1600 pupils of mixed gender aged 11-18 on the teaching roll with 250 of these pupils enrolled in Sixth form. The curriculum at this school is further enhanced by the broad range of enrichment activities on offer to all students which include music, drama and sports clubs.

Transport links to the school are good with the nearest train station within 1 mile and London Luton Airport is under a 1 hour 30 minute journey by car.
