Telemetry Engineer Opportunities (Electrical, Electronic) BLUT19509
Grangemouth/Scotland
Competitive Salary plus benefits
As a multi-disciplined engineering solutions provider, our client operates in a diverse range of industry sectors in the UK and internationally. They provide a wide scope of project services from project management, design, fabrication and installation to commissioning and ongoing maintenance services and have strong in-house resources in all the major Engineering Construction disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation, Technology and HVAC/Sophisticated Environments within the industrial sectors.
Excellent opportunities have now arisen for Telemetry Engineers to join them to be based at their Grangemouth office.
Based in Scotland (central belt), you will work for their Technology SBU and will carry out engineering, configuration, testing, installation, commissioning and documenting of Telemetry systems. This will include the opportunity to travel throughout Scotland (including islands) working on Scottish Water’s telemetry estate.
You will cover the whole lifecycle: design, documentation, mimic generation, outstation configuration, minor electrical installation work, end to end testing and support.
In order to be successful in this role, you will possess a vocational qualification and/or HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline coupled with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar technical environment. A previous track record in delivering Telemetry projects within the Water sector would be advantageous, however this is not essential.
With experience of carrying out minor electrical and instrumentation installations, knowledge of process instrumentation and/or Telemetry systems would be beneficial.
As this role requires the ability to learn new software packages and to configure process devices, it is important that you possess good I.T. and technical skills.
A full UK driving license is also required as the role involves travel to site locations.
Please see job description for full details
Benefits include 25 days annual leave, Private Healthcare (after six months service), Stakeholder pension scheme and access to childcare vouchers
