Senior Design Validation Engineer - Tools Development

An enthusiastic Design Engineer with excellent embedded systems skills (C/C++, Python, SystemVerilog) is sought for a challenging and varied role, involving the development and maintenance of tools for automatic code generation at various levels (architecture exploration, integration, verification) resulting in RTL/ integrated circuit design.

This is a unique opportunity offers the chance to be part of an expanding team within an international semiconductor company that develops, licenses and supplies market leading 2D/3D graphics, digital video, audio and products for the consumer entertainment and PC markets.

The successful candidate will also be working with teams across the company to help coordinate development, roll-out and driving the expanding use of these systems. You will be expected to interact closely with all the relevant teams (front-end, back-end, verification, company-wide EDA teams, IP providers etc...) to ensure the developed tools respect the requirements and constraints imposed across the entirety of the SoC development - a great opportunity to grow in multiple directions and be exposed to the development flow as a whole.

The ideal candidate will;
*Be degree qualified in Electronics/Physics/Computer Science/Engineering/Maths or similar
*Have project experience of ASIC or FPGA hardware design and verification using VHDL, Verilog and / or SystemVerilog
*Have strong Perl, Python, C/C++ and/or SystemC/Tcl skills and experience
*Have knowledge or experience of hardware synthesis and/or simulation

Great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach are essential for this role, as you will be working within a small specialised team - those with the ability to succeed will have the opportunity here.
