Our client are the leading independent health care provider in the UK. They own and operate care centres and nursing homes throughout the UK. As a qualified RGN you will have an understanding of disability issues and experience of staff management with at least 6 months post graduate experience. Rate of pay 15.00 per hour. Ideally you will have experience in dementia and disability. The role is on a temporary basis for the duration of 3 months minimum with the view of longer term. We are looking for RGN s to cover shifts for days or nights including long days. The shift times are Days 07......00 Nights 21..15 Competencies for the role include To be responsible for the formal and daily supervision of care staff, maintaining a high quality service delivery in a manner that is effective, efficient and promotes service users independence. To participate in the training and development of care staff in undertaking care tasks. To facilitate and encourage team working within the service. To maintain close working relationships with therapy and ancillary staff. Essential Others To have experience of providing direct personal and social care. To have experience of communicating with professionals and other agencies To have experience of team working. To have experience of supervising a team of staff. To be able to demonstrate understanding of the needs of disabled people. To be able to work roistered hours. To be prepared to participate in the on call rota. To be willing to attend relevant meetings and training, sometimes off site and outside normal working hours. To have sympathy with the service s ethos and value base. To have experience of working with service users who have physical and or learning disabilities. To have knowledge of service user self advocacy and empowerment.
