A very well known global brand going through a complete digital transformation are looking to make UX a core part of their business and require a Head of User Experience who can define and execute strategy.
My client is a household name around the world, with more than 30 million customers in the UK alone. They have made huge strides putting digital, and a user centred approach, at the top of their agenda. This has seen them expand out of their traditional business to establish a start-up accelerator, an innovation lab and drive forward in areas such as connected devices and big data.
They have also restructured to put in place a digital senior management team including a Chief Digital Officer.
The Head of UX will take ownership all aspects of the brands user experience, defining UX principles that will be deliver consistently excellent experiences across all touch points on all platforms. You will be working at a high level but won't be a pure strategist, you'll enjoy sitting close to the team and being heavily involved in the end-end UX process.
An established UX function is already in place but this is one of the fastest growing areas of the business so a track record of nurturing and developing teams is key.
The successful Head of User Experience will have experience and responsibilities including;
- Take ownership of the brands user experience and be the guardian of their UX principles
- Define and deliver industry leading digital experiences across all touch points and platforms including web, mobile, tablet and more
- A track record of leading major UX projects, preferably transformational in their ambition and scope
- Proven experience leading a UX team within a large brand/company environment
- Lead from the front - taking the team through the end to end UX process from research, through wireframes to design
- Have a strong appreciation of user research and how this, combined with analytics, insight and user testing, can drive decision making
- Experience working within an Agile and Lean environment
