Job Title: Internal Business Development Executive

Location: Nottingham, NG11

Salary: £15,000 – £24,000 pa depending on experience + car allowance + attractive OTE

Job Role:

The Business Development Executive works to improve The company’s market position and achieve financial growth. This person builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains knowledge of current market conditions.

Business Development Executives work in a senior internal sales position within the company. It is their job to work with the other internal team, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, linkedin mails or other means of generating interest from potential clients.
  • They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company.
  • They are also required to grow and retain existing accounts. Internal Business Development Managers work with the Territory Managers.  Pipeline planning is a key part of this job description.

New Business Development:

  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
  • Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Call potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. * Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.

Client Retention

  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.

Management and Research

  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM
  • Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.

Key Requirements:

  • Business development management positions require a strong set of GCSE’s. Ideally A-levels and degree or appropriate experience
