Position: Vehicle Technician

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000

Our client, a leading household name, are seeking a qualified vehicle technician for their state of the art facility in Basingstoke, and are offering a fantastic salary of £23,000-£25,000 + bonus (dependant on experience).

Requirements skills for a vehicle technician:

-be fully competent in the servicing and repairing of vehicles

- carry out vehicle diagnostics and difficult mechanical repairs

-maintain all vehicles to dealership standard (although in house training is ongoing)

-maintain all vehicles to warranty standard

-follow all industry standard service protocol

-perform visual health checks on all vehicles on site

-be motivated for a faced paced environment

Required Qualifications:

-be mechanical qualified, ideally to level 3 in City Guilds, BTEC, NVQ, IMI etc.

- Interpret repair order instructions/ technical instructions, and carry out in line with company and manufacturer procedures.

-communicate with the Master Technician and/or Controller, for any jobs requiring specialist skills, further investigation, additional work or any other difficulties

-have experience using an Automatic Testing Lane (ATL) would be a bonus but not essential

-complete and maintain accurate documentation in line with company procedures

-complete job cards, and work to meet targets and deadlines.

As a vehicle technician you will work on a 45 hour/week contract, 8.00am- 5.30pm Mon- Fri, and 8.30am-12.30pm every other Saturday, with the option to accrue time on a "time save basis" within the workshop.
