My client based in Reading are looking to recruit a PHP Developer.

The role will suit a candidate with 1-2 years PHP Development experience

Purpose of the role:

To provide PHP/Zend/LAMP web development skills to work on and enhance our E-commerce web sites.

Duties
* Build and maintain the PHP based Web Sites
* Ensure that all projects are fully and clearly documented
* Complete all projects within agreed time scales
* Driven by Quality in terms of behaviour and deliverables.
* Responsible for unit and System testing all of their own work to meet the high quality standards
* Communicate regularly and effectively with Manager, peers and team.
* Focused on the achievement of our mission in accordance with our Beliefs, Values and Vision; striving to embody the culture of respect, teamwork and integrity.

* The above list is not exhaustive and the post holder will undertake such other duties as required.

Experience Required:
* PHP5 developer, familiar with the latest features in PHP 5.2+
* MySQL - Modern database development expertise, words like 'trigger' and 'view' should be part of your vocabulary.
* XHTML/CSS/Javascript/AJAX - Expert level Javascript/XHTML/CSS development will be necessary
* Familiarity with Zend Framework
* Object Oriented Development/CS Background - Ideally you will understand Object Oriented development, and apply OO concepts to the application development
* Experience of Open Source operating systems (Linux) development & production environments
* Excellent standard of both written and spoken English
