Control external resources to deliver solutions. Coordinate the activity for critical projects across chain, business and application boundaries. K ey Responsibilities
- Accountable for delivering new capabilities that drive business results on one or more small to medium sized, moderately complex IT projects from initialization through project close.
- Lead projects through the defined solution delivery process (SDP) which covers, but is not limited to, Initiation, Design, Build / Test (Systems/UAT), Implementation and Warranty until accepted by the customer and supported by IT Operations.
- Leads project activities and reports project status to ensure that assigned projects are completed on time, within approved budget, and provides desired business value.
- Assigns priorities for and coordinates the activities of project staff, including the relevant third party staff as needed.
- Defines project quality and success criteria.
- Plans and co-ordinates the implementation support (Change Management) to the user community and ensures that the desired adoption is achieved.
- Supervises multiple, concurrent tasks and properly assesses priorities of assigned activities.
- Complies with Sarbanes Oxley and PCI.
- Responsible for timely and effective project communications including stakeholder and sponsor interactions, meeting management, and reporting.
- Responsible for the project plan, work breakdown structure, and identified critical path.
- Accountable for project financials, including baselines, forecasting, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Completes a Post Implementation review, Lessons Learned and feeds back for process improvement.
- Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
- Plans and schedules project deliverables, goals, and milestones.
- Directs and oversees project team.
- Identifies and solves project issues.
- Performs peer document assessments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Experience Retail or FMCG/Fast Moving business projects
- Strong organizational, presentation, and business partnering skills
- Knowledge of system development life cycle methodology and project management techniques
- Familiarity with financial, retail, human resource, or logistics systems
- Ability to multi-task and alter direction easily to accommodate changing priorities
- Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience with PC based project management tools including MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 3-5 years experience in project management
- Educated to degree level in technology, information systems, business, engineering or other relevant subjects
- Formal Project Management Accreditation: Current PRINCEII and/or PMP Practitioner Certification
- Lean/Six Sigma, ITIL Foundation and/or QMS/Test management experience/exposure would be useful
- Aware of Business Analysis process and techniques. Understands how to use BA's to prepare PIDs outlining feasibility, impact and cost of projects - including TCO/ROI
- Captures business requirements for projects, working with diverse user communities and managing sign off process
- Evaluates project solutions, both from vendors and internal partners, to ensure technical proposals deliver the business benefits for the project, and comply with technical, operational and security standard for the corporation
- Agree Test, QA and UAT plans with the business and systems development, taking into account risks and project objectives
- Organise and deliver test phases of projects, ensuring that business sign off is achieved
- Manages test plans and issue lists within TJX and also Third Parties involved in testing phases
- Optimise the testing cycle to ensure business risk is kept to a minimum
- Ensure the correct user community are involved correctly during UAT and provide relevant signoff for SOX compliance
- Provide support to business during project implementations to resolve production incidents
- Prepares support materials and hands over knowledge to support teams
- Provide consultancy services to TJX Europe businesses and advice on how to use systems
