IT Consultant

We are currently recruiting two IT Technical Consultants

One criteria which is important is that the candidate is to have Reseller experience as the working model is different to end user support roles.

The candidates for this role of IT Technical Consultant (60K max) and based in London, need Microsoft, Cisco, VMware and NetApp skills etc

MS Server, MS Exchange, VMware, NetApp and Cisco are important skills and most solutions we provide use these product so the candidates need to be almost guru's in these areas. Accreditations in all or some of these areas are also important to us.

Job Role

Senior engineer to design, build and install solutions for customers - high-level support is also part of the role. The person will assume a very senior role within the technical team and will be expected to be client facing with some pre-sales consultancy as part of their role

Essential Core Product/Systems Experience

(install, configure, support, solution design) MS Windows Server, including clustering MS Server products, ie Exchange, SQL, Cisco (LAN, WAN) HP (Servers, Networking) Firewall/security products (mid/high range) Storage Area Networking (HP products in particular, NetApp/VMware product knowledge desirable)

General Skills/Attributes

- Ability to deliver technical designs based on the above products, supplying documentation to support the design/solution
- Hands-on ability to install a solution and complete the project
- Develop written proposals and explain concepts and technical solutions to customers (not always IT experts)

Person Profile

- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously (medium to large companies)
- Good interpersonal skills - some pre-sales work is an integral part of the job
- Good communication skills.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in most/all of the products above, with 3+ years solution design experience (this must be evidenced on the person's CV)
- Relevant vendor qualifications preferred.

The role is London based with the majority of our Clients within the M25 but they would need to have a driving license
