Application Support Manager

Our public sector client has a fantastic opportunity for an Application Support Manager to join them working in a team to cover a 3nd line support of websites and applications to both internal and external customers. The support team will be multi skilled but may call on development expertise if required.

Desirable skills:

• Experience of managing Java application support teams in an Agiles or RUP environments
• Experience of managing the support of Java applications built on the Redhat Jboss stack including Portal and Fuse.
• Involvement in the prioritisation of production defects and balancing resources within a small time
• Experience of Oracle RDBS and Authentication.
• Experience in the support of Jboss BRMS/BPMN implementation within business applications.
• Experience of managing support team in line with ITIL services including incident, problem and change management.
• Experience of working with operational colleagues in Service Delivery to meet the associated service level agreements.
• Experience of managing, tracking and planning the workload and delivery of multi skilled support teams.
• Experience of Geoserver Web applications.
• Experience of working in a support environment where development is on-going requiring support delivery alignment with production releases.
