Senior Network Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to join a rapidly growing IT Operations Department for a world leading gaming organisation, who use state of the art high-availability technologies.

The IT Operations Department is responsible for maintaining all of the computer systems across multiple international sites that enable the several hundred staff around the world to perform their own jobs effectively and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.

In order to be successful in this role, you should be dynamic and focussed with demonstrable experience in the configuration of networking equipment for web, Back Office and corporate networks. A CCIE Certification would be a nice to have, although isn't essential.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

The position will involve the following areas of responsibility:

• Configure, maintain and monitor network equipment across multiple sites.
• Enforce physical and virtual network security procedures.
• Maintaining patch levels on network fabric estate.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems encountered by network-wide users.
• Ensure that agreed SLA's are being met by both the team and 3rd parties.
• R&D new technologies/vendor products to aid business requirements.
• Management of MPLS, Routers, Firewalls, Switches and wireless devices on the network.

Essential Criteria:

• 5 Years' experience as a Network Engineer; design experience would be great but is not essential
• Routing protocols - RIP, OSPF, BGP (Cisco Routers) and IP Subnetting
• Switching Protocols - VLANs, STP, LACP (Dell & Force10 Switches)
• Firewalls - Checkpoint (SPLAT & Gaia) and Cisco ASA
• Load-Balancers (Ideally Zeus/Stingray)
• WiFi Technologies
• VPN Technologies (GRE/IPSec)
• WAN Acceleration/Compression (Ideally Silverpeak, although not essential)
• Linux (Basic)
• Windows Server (Intermediate)
• Good Understanding of VoIP Technologies
• RADIUS
• SNMP Monitoring
