Junior Systems Engineer, Windows Server, Linux Servers, Networks, PC Hardware, £20-23k Bens, Frenchay, North Bristol.
Key Skills:
- Graduate with Computer related degree.
- Experience with both Windows Servers and Linux Servers. None commercial experience will be considered.
- Good systems hardware experience.
- Experience building PC and Linux systems.
- Some experience with networks e.g. TCP/IP, LAN, DHCP etc.
- Knowledge of any from: RAID, SAN, NAS, Hard Disks, Tape Libraries or Backup Applications.
- Genuine personal interest in Linux and Windows systems.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Desirable but not essential is any from:
- SCSI, SAS, USB, iSCSI protocol with respect to storage products.
- Data Networks.
- Testing of hardware systems or devices.
About The Role:
Our client seeks a Junior Systems Engineer ( Windows Server, Linux Servers, Networks, PC Hardware ) for a major technology department in a Tier 1 technology company.
This role encompasses supporting and testing of enterprise tape backup devices and software applications on state-of-the-art PC Workstations and PC Server Systems in an R&D centric environment.
