Head of QA, NO WALLFLOWERS, Automation, London

Sorry for the title of my advert, it's designed though to hopefully grab the interested in the right sort of people, and put others off. If you're reading this then hopefully you are interested in such a post. I've written a very brief synopsis on what this firm are looking for below, for more info do get in touch with me either by phone on 0203 011 1501 or email me at james.shelley@fpit.co.uk

So, a Head of QA is required by this 'ex-leading' Ecommerce retailer, who are on a mission (backed by PE money) to return to their rightful 'leading' status. It's safe to say that this company, who were once (and in our opinion still are) brilliant, have seen a decline in their online sales - fortunately due to PE funding, the substantial revenue generated is going to take them back to their Number 1 spot. This is going to take 3 years. How they achieve this is very much down to the new Management team they are looking to put in place - the Head of QA being one of these positions.

Here are the key attributes you will need to demonstrate:

1)Experience at working at a Senior Management layer and devising a test strategy and plans
2)Experience at implementing an Automated function from scratch
3)Experienced at adopting a BDD/Agile approach to testing within a small-medium sized dev/test team
4)Abilities to get developers working closely with QA. Ability to get QA working closely with developers - collaboration between both functions being key here
5)Experience at recruiting a retaining an automated Test function
6)Experience managing third party suppliers
7)Strong people, communication skills
8)Man-manager

The list actually goes on and on, in a nutshell though - come in, set up a new test function, own the test function, build a team, train the team, retain the team and deliver the business goals in a 3 year period.

If you're keen to find out more, as mentioned above do get in touch with me straight away. The number again - 0203 011 1501 or email me at james.shelley@fpit.co.uk
