Overview
To plan, organise and where necessary to undertake preventative, planned and breakdown maintenance to MRF plant and equipment.
Ensure that process plant and equipment operates effectively and efficiently during the shift period.
To ensure continuous improvement projects are seen through to a successful conclusion.
To ensure the completion of the PPM tasks and formulate improved maintenance practices.

Responsibilities
To ensure that all plant and equipment in the MRF is safely maintained and repaired or modified as required to optimise plant efficiency and site capacity
To efficiently and safely carry out reactive, proactive and planned maintenance
To ensure the plant and equipment operates to maximum efficiency in a safe and controlled manner and that all operations are recorded formally
Plan and carry out maintenance and repair of plant and ancillary equipment, as directed by the Engineering Manager.
Provide a safe and efficient service ensuring that Health & Safety is complied with at all times and that all procedures and safe systems of work are adhered to at all times.
Use your own knowledge and skills to undertake repairs, reactive maintenance, carry out planned maintenance, and carry out plant modifications to improve the efficiency and reliability of the plant, via close liaison with engineering department.

To uphold and exceed standards of safety ensuring all work areas are kept tidy by adopting a clean as you go approach at all times
To be aware of budget and stock control and maintain shift paperwork to the required standards



Qualifications/Experience
Time served electrical apprenticeship
17th Edition of the IEE wiring regulations
Formal experience of working within an Engineering environment in a multi-skilled role with an electrical bias
Maintenance of process plant and equipment including materials handling equipment; safe systems of work
Experience of DC drives
3 phase electrical systems; control instrumentation
Planned maintenance systems
Working with low levels of supervision in a high pressure production environment
