A smaller than average sized secondary school located in the county of Surrey is seeking an English Teacher for a September 2015 start. Whilst this position is initially temporary, it has the possibility of becoming permanent.

This school is committed to excellence in learning and teaching and has consistently high expectations of its students. In its most recent inspection, Ofsted awarded the school a Grade 3 with the report stating that the executive and associate headteachers have provided an exceptionally strong and inspirational leadership which has set a firm foundation to drive the school forward. The quality of teaching is good with teachers keen to improve and, as a result, students learning has improved significantly. Students are polite and courteous and now have good attitudes to learning. They speak positively about recent changes and say they feel very safe in school.

There are approximately 670 pupils of mixed gender aged 11-16 on the teaching roll of this secondary school. Students benefit from an extensive range of artistic, cultural and sporting activities and enjoy a varied and engaging curriculum. The school has many facilities which include its own purpose built theatre, a main sports gym and squash courts.

Transport links to the school are excellent with the nearest train station within a mile and London Heathrow Airport is a 15 minute journey by car.
