Uteach are delighted to present a unique and exciting opportunity for an Art Teacher to join an innovative and inspiring Academy School located in the heart of London. This post commences in September 2015 and whilst initially temporary, it has the possibility of becoming permanent.
This Academy offers a unique purpose built learning environment for young people aged between 11-19 . The school has been specifically designed to ensure that students make accelerated progress in year 7 and 8. Every student has a Community Leader who takes responsibility for their academic progress, personal welfare and development.
Students at the academy have a core team of STEM teachers, Science, Mathematics, English and Humanities that are taught by specialist subject teachers. Students also take part in Computer Science, Performing Arts and Design and Engineering. The school aims to be outstanding in all areas and become a centre of excellence both within the local community and beyond.
There are great local and international transport links: London Heathrow Airport is under 10 miles away and London Gatwick Airport is only a 15 minute car journey from the school.
Local landmarks include The Tower of London, The Oval and London Bridge.
To be eligible for this position you are required to be a qualified or newly qualified teacher.
