Assistant Project Manager (Water – Utilities)
Buttershaw, Bradford
Salary £22,777 - £32,017 per annum depending on experience + pension + quarterly performance related bonus + 25 days annual leave
6 month Contract / Secondment
THE ROLE
As an Assistant Project Manager you will manage multiple projects at various stages of development. You’ll also be responsible for the coordination and preparation of high quality, complex bid proposals to clients for selected high value, long-term contract opportunities.
Your other responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the team in the implementation of successful project bids, including the transition through construction, commissioning and into long-term operations.
• Preparing high quality technical documents to be submitted to clients as part of competitive procurement processes, such as pre-qualification and tender submissions.
• Coordinating technical and financial input from colleagues within the BD team, specialists within the wider Kelda organisation (KWS operational businesses, IT, HR etc) and external organisations (supply chain partners, specialist advisers etc).
• Coordinating activities on projects at various stages of development.
ABOUT YOU
You will be highly skilled in the use of MSProject, Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
Project Management skills would be an advantage along with knowledge of basic water/wastewater and procurement processes.
A full valid EU driving licence is required as there may be a need for travel to operational sites.
THE COMPANY
Kelda Water Services (KWS) manages Kelda Group’s non-regulated water and waste contract operations in the UK. We focus on winning non-regulated contracts or projects that have the potential to improve the Kelda Business.
KWS Defence operates a 25 year Public Private Partnership (PPP) contract with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) to provide full water utility services to the MoD estate. This high profile project (one of the Treasury's top ten PPP initiatives) encompasses Wales and much of the South and South West of England.
