Job Elements: -

• Ensure that the procedure to open a new client account has been completed prior to the client arriving for their first meeting with the adviser.
• Prepare an up to date asset sheet for existing clients in preparation for their meeting with the adviser. This will include liaising with mortgage lenders to ascertain the outstanding mortgage amount and details of any penalties and life and investment companies to obtain up to date details and valuations.
• Maintain the adviser’s Activity Sheet. Ensuring business is progressing through the system satisfactorily.
• Request and chase any information that may be needed for the adviser to progress further with their advice i.e. obtain a signed letter of authority from the client to enable us to approach their existing provider, liase with administration in the chasing of the information and once received to update the client’s asset sheet and arrange a further meeting for them with the adviser.
• Meet with the adviser following the client meeting and discuss what is needed to take the client from their current portfolio to that recommended by the adviser.
• Produce comparison prints and select the provider that best suits the client’s needs, to research products for the adviser, to order illustrations and apply for applications on the Internet and by telephone where applicable.
• Collate all the information and produce the suitability report that the client will receive (being the first contact after the initial meeting).

The ideal candidate will:

• Must have experience as a Paraplanner
• One exam as a minimum towards professional accreditation
• 3-5 years’ experience
• Full training will be given by a mentor and other colleagues may train in the financial areas that you are not strong on.
