XML Developer/Programmer

I am working with a specialist media communications house who develop an integrated suite of applications that help manage and distribute media for the advertising and broadcasting space, and who are based in the Silicon roundabout area of London. Their products are based around workflows and they are now looking for an experienced XML person to join their expanding team.

As their XML Programmer, XML Developer, XML Technical Specialist, you will have experience of XML, XSLT, XQuery, XForms, eXist-DB., Web Applications, Web Services, and Workflows, and have knowledge of Java and MVC frameworks.

Key to this role is your experience in systems diagramming notations, this will be using such tools as UML or other formal visualisation methodologies (these are essential), and being able to demonstrate a proven track record in dealing with complex business workflows involving different systems, data-mining and manipulation

You will also have some knowledge in Java and MVC frameworks, have been involved in full development cycles using a continuous integration platform, and have managed various projects from concept to delivery.

You will be able to demonstrate strong knowledge in XML technologies in particular XSLT, XQuery and XForms, (your proficiency in XQuery and XSLT and writing complex data processes using both languages, will be tested at interview).

On a more personal level, you will be an excellent listener and communicator, with strong verbal and written communication skills, and have a professional image. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to gather requirements, then design and develop appropriate solutions, and this will include converting real world business workflows into standard diagrams.

The XML Developer, XML Programmer, XML Technical Specialist with XML, XSLT, XQuery, XForms, eXist-DB., Web Applications, Web Services, and knowledge of Java and MVC frameworks, will be working for a leading digital communications company based in London, and is paying a salary between GBP35,000 to GBP45,000.
