C#, ASP.NET, MVC Software Developer - Reading GBP50k

Location: Reading
Salary: Up to GBP50,000+ 25 days holiday, healthcare, non-contributory pension.

C#, ASP.NET MVC Software Developer is required to join my clients development team at the UK development centre based in Reading. This dynamic and innovative company are a leading provider of software into the insurance industry. As C#, ASP.NET developer you will take a key role in new project to rebuild the companies product from the ground up using a selection of the latest Microsoft technologies available.

The role:

- To develop software solutions with consideration for functionality, longevity and platform flexibility.
- Take an active part in coming up with new ideas and discussing specifications with senior staff, including technical architecture, patterns and technology strategy

I am looking for candidates who have a high level of attention to detail and good communication skills, and are passionate about Microsoft web development and database tools. A strong work ethic and commitment to quality and finishing work with a low bug rate is required.

Technical Skills:
* C# 4.0 (or above)/ASP.NET
* Visual Studio 2012 or above
* MVC 4 or above
* IoC/DI
* MS SQL Server 2008 (or above), T-SQL
* Web skills (eg HTML, CSS, jQuery, JS frameworks)
* Automated unit testing and mocks
* Agile development approach (ideally Scrum)
* Design experience
* Adherence to clean coding practises (eg SOLID principles)
* Degree educated

Good to have experience of a number of the following:
* CQRS/ES or other messaging/event driven architecture
* Entity Frame (EF) 4 or above
* Document based databases (particularly RavenDB)
* .NET communications WCF
* TFS (Team Foundation Server, ideally 2013)
* OO design patterns
* Domain Driven Design
* systems handling/managing large volumes of data
* AngularJS, LESS, Twitter Bootstrap, TypeScript
* Behavioural Driven Design, .NET workflow (WWF), Insurance, Accounting, Finance
