MQ Administrator, UNIX, Linux, iSeries, Windows, z/OS

Major Retail and Investment Bank is seeking experienced MQ Technical Analysts to join their MQ Projects team. You will support the majority of the MQ estate, including key services such as Bankline, MCS, SEPA and RMP. MQ infrastructure is deployed on a number of platforms - z/OS, UNIX, Linux, iSeries and Windows. The team is responsible for the provision of technical services in their portfolio to ensure that projects are delivered to the level required in a professional and timely manner.

There is a high focus on continuous-improvement in the team, both from an infrastructure-performance perspective and also with Operational Standards and Strategy. The team also provides technical design services and guidance to projects allocated.

Excellent package available up to GBP65,000 + Bonus & Benefits.

Essential Technical Skills

  • Significant experience as a MQ Administrator in a large and complex support environment
  • MQ v5.1-7.1.0
  • MQ features: Shared Queues, Clustering
  • SSL Certificates
  • Experience of Unix, Linux, iSeries and Windows (z/OS will be beneficial)
  • Experience of working with third party vendors

  • Configuration, maintenance and delivery of MQ infrastructure
  • Proven success in delivery of high quality, cost effective infrastructure services in a large, complex, high availability environment.
  • Experience in a cohesive and collaborative approach with wide range of technical and non-technical staff.
