A leading consultancy based in Reading is currently recruiting a Senior Java Developer to join their well established development team.

Working within the eBusiness Platform you will be responsible for the following:

  • Development and maintenance of enterprise level applications.
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders to establish requirements on new build projects and resolve any issues. Carrying Object Oriented Design, service modelling, capacity planning and performance tuning.
  • Ensuring design principles and patterns meet industry standards.

To be successful in this role it is essential you have the following skills and experience:

  • 6+ years Java development experience using J2EE/Core Java JDK1.5+ and Spring. Experience of SOA/Webservices Eclipse IDE (or similar).
  • Config management experience using Synergy, Subversion etc. Experience of working within financial services would be desirable.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with clients.
