A global Information Solutions consultancy based in Norwich seek a Graduate or Junior Developer/Software Engineer - Java/Javascript/C#/VB.NET, to form part of their Operations Production Applications Team that deliver the production technology aspects of programmes and projects of all sizes, from technical architecture through application development to handover to business-as-usual support. These teams cover all application platforms and technology used to deliver production.

As a Graduate or Junior Developer/Software Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering application level solutions for new business and internal service improvement activities across the full range of platforms, predominantly through Scripting and configuration of existing systems. You will need to approach problems enthusiastically and creatively, ensuring you apply technical and commercial experience in a positive way. You will approach your area of responsibility from a technical and client/user viewpoint and will work in line with the standards and IT governance working practices.

Essential Skills for the Graduate or Junior Developer/Software Engineer:

  • A technical focused degree (doesn't have to be recent) or high level of technical; studies, with a good understanding of one of more of the following: Java/Javascript/C#/VB.NET.

  • Advanced technical/IT awareness and ability to identify new technologies and tools.

  • Experience working with diverse subject content and varied approaches that are highly complex.

  • Experience of working on multiple projects and managing multiple customers at the same time.

  • Can identify original and innovative solutions to problems.

  • Ability to undertake a broad mix of technical, operational, supplier management and client facing tasks.

Desirable Skills for the Graduate or Junior Developer/Software Engineer:

  • Experience of a range of standard office and industry software including but not limited to Microsoft.

  • Windows OS, Microsoft Server OS, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, SharePoint.
