Our client requires an experienced Software Configuration Analyst for an initial 3/6 month contract based in London.
Software Configuration Management (SCM) is responsible for all aspects of the delivery of software components into relevant environments. The team is responsible for planning all software release activities and then packaging (for internally written code) and deploying components to test and production environments. The team utilises multiple technologies, including MS .net, MS SQL, Java, Unisys EAD and IBM MQ. The team also makes use of technical solutions to automate processes, including MS Team Foundation Server, IBM RTC and Bladelogic.
You will need to have the following skills/experience:
* Solid understanding of Windows Servers, such as troubleshooting, services
* Exposure to Unix technologies would be beneficial
* Basic understanding and troubleshooting of Middleware/hosting technologies such as WS MQ, IIS, Tomcat
* Able to learn new technologies
* Able to understand complex application architectures and interdependencies
