Principal Architect - GBP100K + Bonus and Benefits

JWA would like to talk to architects with experience in the delivery of architecture for payments platforms.

Our client is a well-financed and highly successful player in related industries looking to build a payments platform from scratch.

The principal architect will take responsibility for understanding the interface protocols required to integrate with third party payment systems, and for the provision of support to customers as part of pre-sales and project delivery.

You will take responsibility for the API specification design and the documentation of the platform's components and interfaces.

The role will require the justification of the platform to internal stakeholders and the representation of the company at industry seminars, workshops and events.

We are seeking principal architects with experience in designing payment platforms and interface implementation with third party payment infrastructures.

Experience of service API design and data warehousing capabilities will be necessary. It is unlikely but not impossible that the ideal candidate will have less than 10 years combined experience as a software engineer or architect.

Technical Knowledge

- ISO 20022 specification

- PCI compliance requirements

- Algorithmic encryption/Banking Security

- Professional understanding of UML

- Agile methodologies

- Engineering/Computer Science Degree

- Real Time & always on systems
