Head of Application Development - Global Leader - Victoria, London

We are looking for a Head of Application Development (Oracle Siebel, Business Intelligence) to join this global leader and largest professional body within their field. Based close to Victoria, Central London in impressive offices.

The successful candidate will be accountable for providing strategic leadership of the IT development teams who are responsible for the full life cycle of business software. As the Head of Department you will report directly into the Director of IT and lead and implement the technical vision and long term application strategy, lead multiple teams, provide direction for the development and utilisation of staff and negotiate with business and technical stakeholders.

Key skills and knowledge required for the Head of Application Development (Business Intelligence) role:

  • We are looking for a strategic thinking individual with a blend of technical delivery and great business judgement experience
  • A strong and proven IT business leader who understands and leads technology's application for driving real business value
  • Excellent experience of managing and leading cross development teams
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills and excellent stakeholder skills
  • Strong technically - Oracle, Business Intelligence, Data warehouses, Siebel!
  • Experience with relevant software and engineering would be a distinct advantage, including Oracle Siebel, Business Intelligence, OLTP and data warehouse systems
  • The delivery of successful management and of enterprise wide systems, including CRM and ERP systems within a pressurised global environment
  • Expert knowledge of ETL concepts and experience with BI publisher
  • Knowledge of OBIEE dashboards and Java, JavaScript, .NET and SQL is highly desirable

Salary: GBP70,000 - GBP78,000 + excellent benefits package, including private medical insurance, dental insurance,
