As a Housing Support Worker with us, you’ll help provide vital support to people with mental health needs in a supported housing setting. Our service users face unique challenges in their day-to-day lives. Join us and help them regain their self-esteem, well-being and independence.
Your role as Housing Support Worker will see you:
- Be a keyworker to allocated service users ensuring they have up-to-date and complete support plans addressing their individual needs
- Advising on tenancy issues, welfare benefits, financial and budgeting matters
- Addressing their practical and emotional needs - from helping them to find employment, training or educational opportunities, to enabling them to grow in social confidence
- Provide housing related support to the tenants, enabling them to lead independent lives in the community
- Complete Protection & Safety assessments and Support Plans to ensure service users needs are managed safely
- Work closely with relevant statutory and voluntary organisations, making sure clients are referred to appropriate agencies for advice and counselling
- Develop close links with the local community, promoting a greater understanding of mental health issues
- Ensure the premises are in a good condition and health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.

- A track record in Mental Health or related field
- Experience of supporting, empowering and engaging service users in a range of developmental, rehabilitative and community activities
- Able to identify and co-ordinate a range of services to meet individual needs
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage your own workload
- Admin know-how, with the proven ability to maintain up-to-date records and systems
- Good partnership working skills
- A flexible, positive approach and excellent communication skills.
