Regional Fundraising & Awareness Manager
Ref: NF53
Home-based: Lancashire and Greater Manchester
Salary: up to £25,000 per annum
37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with flexibility to work outside of these hours as required.
This role is part of our client’s local campaign and all funds generated in these counties will be restricted and will be used back in those counties to help local disabled children. Our client guarantees that 100% of funds raised go to buying equipment to help these children and they are able to report to supporters on exactly how their support has changed a child’s life. Giving supporters the right to say how the funds they raise are spent, is one of the great strengths of the organisation and they know it offers fundraisers the opportunity to show integrity and transparency, which is appreciated by all.
They need someone that has outstanding communication skills and who likes to be out and about meeting and talking to a variety people and supporters (individuals and groups). They need someone who is driven by a passion for the charity’s cause and motivated to help them help more children, by creating awareness and income. They need someone who can crucially bring great skills to the team and who is able to bring in funds from working with volunteers, clubs and groups etc. On a day-to-day basis you will continue to build and grow relationships with existing donors/supporters and you will contact, engage and build new relationships that will support our client’s fundraising target.
The role will be home based with regular management contact with and visits to the Staffordshire HO as required. Our client need someone who is flexible and able to attend evening and weekend events as needed and who has use of a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed) to enable them to travel around the areas and to visit HO.
Our client’s organisation is a pretty special place to work and knowing you have played a part in changing lives is a great feeling at the end of the day, so people tend to stay with with the organisation for this reason. They like people who see a target and surpass it, who love to be busy and productive. They also like the sort of people who say ‘we did it together’.
Closing Date: 26th March 2015.
