Job Elements: -
• To maintain aspects of the current quality and environmental systems, in order to ensure conformance through a structured audit process
• To ensure documentation relating to product conformance is completed
• With the use of business information the individual needs to make decisions to reduce the overall ‘cost of Quality’
• To ensure support to the manufacturing area for the introduction of standards
• To ensure that all of the work practices throughout the business are completed in accordance to TS16949 procedures
• To ensure that all of the work practices throughout the business are completed in accordance to ISO14001 procedures
• To complete calibration studies on measuring equipment
• To complete all relevant documentation relating to dimensional, material and environmental testing of initial samples (PPAP)
• Respond to Customer and Supplier Quality needs
• To complete corrective actions on customer return activities
• To liaise with suppliers and implement supplier development programmes
• To complete visits at both customers and suppliers issuing reports where required
• To work with Customer Engineering and Program teams on developing new products
• To prepare and submit Project Status / APQP reports to NPI Teams, where required
• To become a champion in customer specific requirements and systems.
• To understand and work within the business Quality system TS 16949
• To understand and work within the business Environmental system ISO14001
• To identify improved systems of work, through the continuous improvement system
• To support the implementation of shop floor quality costing and performance measures
• To identify opportunities to reduce “waste” and where applicable work towards achieving improvements
The ideal candidate will have:
• Proven experience within a similar role (ideally within automotive manufacturing)
• Technical or Engineering education to a minimum level of HNC/D (or equivalent)
• Experience of APQP and PPAP
• Auditing experience
