Location: HMP Hull
Permanent –18.5 hours per week
Salary Range: Trainer level 1 £11,536.85 - £13,078.95 per annum
Trainer level 2 £13,335.63 - £14,620.54 per annum

They are proud to deliver learning and skills in over 60 sites within Her Majesty's Prisons, private sector prisons, Approved Premises and the community. Working closely with stakeholders, they aim to provide locally determined, high quality provision which meets the needs and interests of learners.
Learners in custody and the community can access high quality employability and vocational training, underpinned by Functional English and Maths. Learners develop skills which will help them to find and sustain employment on release. This raises the aspirations of offenders, which effectively supports their progression to employment and responds to the needs of employers. This, in turn, makes a positive contribution to reducing the risk of re-offending.
With this in mind, they are seeking to appoint a Trainer in Mentoring to work at HMP Hull. The purpose of this role (but not limited to) is as follows:
To deliver high quality learner focused vocational training to meet contractual requirements and Awarding Body standards, in line with college policies and procedures.
To develop lesson plans to ensure compliance with curriculum best practice and quality targets
To ensure the safeguarding of learners.
The salary scale for the successful candidate is dependent on current qualifications. All Trainers must have at least 2 years’ experience in the vocational area and be willing to work towards relevant qualifications as specified in the role profile.
To qualify for the level 2 salary you will hold:
A qualification to allow the delivery of accreditation in the relevant vocational area to Level 3
An Assessor award required by Awarding Bodies (if relevant)
A PTLLS qualification
A Level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
You must also be willing to work towards to relevant qualifications as specified in the role profile.
