INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER - Building Construction Products

Salary: GBP26,500 - GBP32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Building Construction Products at Leicester is dedicated to the assembly of small construction machines, typically used on building and construction sites - Backhoe Loaders, Mini Hydraulic Excavators and Compact Wheel Loaders.

Currently, we are seeking a "qualified Industrial Engineer" with a background in manufacturing and engineering to join this team.

The right applicant will:

* possess between 2-3 years of experience in work study within a manufacturing environment

* be Institute of Management Services (IMS) certified - in work study

* ideally be MTM qualified also

* experienced in similar or relative industries to the construction products manufacturing sector.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Responsible for supporting the manufacturing operation through the continued timing and analysis of processes and procedures with the aim of increasing efficiency

* Coordinate process changes to provide the most efficient and economical assembly of quality parts

* Ensure optimum utilisation of equipment and space by coordinating the layout of areas such as storage areas, test equipment, etc. to accommodate the changing production requirements

* Establish standards and work methods with management and shop personnel to resolve problems related to process, tooling, equipment, etc.

* Keep abreast of industry changes by attending product demonstrations and identifying ongoing improvements in processes and technologies to better serve customers

Required Qualifications:

- Institute of Management Services (IMS) qualification

- Technical or University Degree in an appropriate manufacturing or engineering related field, previous supervisory experience and significant industrial engineering experience

- Requires a thorough knowledge of the planning system, manufacturing operations, facilities, methods and tooling required

- Analytical ability as well as communication skills are essential

- Production planning and line balancing experience required.
