Business Development Executive

As a Business Development Executive you will be part of a solutions based sales office, where research and customer relationships are encouraged to get the best from every prospect. You will arrange qualified appointments for the Sales team to visit prospective clients, in addition to selling our solutions directly over the telephone where appropriate.

Reporting to the Head of Sales and Operations, as Business Development Executive your duties will include although not be limited to;

  • Researching and making outbound calls to prospective clients to establish business requirements and promote tailored solutions
  • Arranging appointments for the field based Sales team with UK employers
  • Following up on referral leads
  • Proactively building, managing, and developing relationships; establishing your own base of clients, gaining repeat and referral business
  • Proactively delivering full cycle campaign support to own client base
  • Ensuring that the CRM database remains up-to-date at all times
  • Proactively networking at events, exhibitions, and conferences
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure efficient delivery of high standards of service

There is potential for the role to develop into a Sales Account Management position where you will also attend client meetings to gain a thorough understanding of their business, recruitment requirements, and to promote our services.

To be considered for the role of Business Development Executive, you will have the following experience, knowledge, skills, and attributes;

  • Proven experience gained within a business to business consultative sales / telemarketing, where you have met/exceeded set targets
  • A positive outlook, along with enthusiasm, drive and self-motivation
  • Proactive approach to work and flexibility towards tasks
  • Confident, personable and professional telephone manner
  • Exceptional listening and interpersonal skills with ability to engage and build lasting professional relationships
  • Team orientated with a positive, “can do” approach
  • High level of attention to detail with excellent standard of grammar and spelling
  • IT literacy, along with accurate and timely typing and data entry skills
  • Smart professional appearance
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport

Previous experience gained within recruitment, training or advertising sales, would be highly advantageous although not essential.

Starting salary:              £17,000 – £20,000, level dependent on current experience. Plus performance based bonuses with uncapped earning potential. 1st year OTE £25,000-30,000.

Other benefits:              25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays.

Hours of work:              Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. Due to the nature of the role, flexibility will be required with working hours, particularly to attend events, which often will be held early mornings or evenings.
