This solicitor firm are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary / Audio Typist to join their expanding team. Ideally F/T but will consider P/T.

You will be required to assist in the provision of effective and efficient typing and administrative support.

Responsibilities:

- To word process correspondence e.g. Memos, letters, lists, spread-sheets, Court documents etc.
- To provide secretarial and audio typing services.
- To assist in the monitoring and maintenance of all office based administrative systems within required deadlines.
- To assist in the planning, implementation and maintenance of new office systems and procedures, within required deadlines.
- To assist in the inputting, monitoring and maintenance of company databases.
- To assist in the completion of documentation for claims, including loading new claims on the MOJ Portal, within standard operating procedure guidelines.
- To deal with routine enquiries, either by person or telephone.
- To make outgoing calls (to clients, insurers and third party insurers for example) as requested.
- To provide cover for the firms other Typists and Administrators as required.
- To provide typing support to the File Handlers/Legal Assistants /Paralegals and Solicitors

Skills Required:

- You will be expected to provide an efficient, professional and friendly service to clients and colleagues.
- You will be expected to communicate clearly and appropriately, both orally and verbally with other parties, whilst maintaining and developing excellent working relationships.
- You will be expected to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You must, therefore, be able to prioritise workloads at any given time.
- Ability to handle and prioritise own workload independently with minimal daily supervision
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
- Ability to balance priorities and co-ordinate work effectively in order to meet deadlines and deal with high workloads
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills - develop and maintain good working relationships

- Participate in team meetings
- Attend internal courses
- Keep up to date with law and practice
