Designer/Estimator (Merchant and Small Builders Business)

A Designer/Estimator is required to join a leading designer and manufacturer of engineered timber products. Operating from six sites around the UK, its Timber Engineering business designs and manufactures Roof Trusses.

Role

Working as part of their Commercial Team and based at Castleford, this role is responsible for generating merchant and small business enquiries and producing detailed and accurate designs and quotations for their products to meet customer requirements. The role will also contribute to the sales performance of the company through quotation follow up and general sales activity.

They are a fast-growing business and they take their people development responsibilities seriously. As part of this investment in people, they provide the training and the tools needed for the role.

- Customer focussed with excellent customer service skills.
- Well-organised and able to work unsupervised and prioritise tasks.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal, and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Detail conscious and able to ensure work is completely accurately and within time constraints.
- Excellent PC skills including experience of MS Office.
- Full driving license.

Preferred
- Previous experience working in a similar role.
