An Ofsted rated "Good" Academy school located in Essex are seeking an English Teacher. This position is for an immediate start date and whilst temporary it has the possibility of becoming permanent.

The school has approximately 1500 on roll between the ages of 11 to 18 years.

Students make good progress and reach above-average standards in all subjects, but particularly in mathematics and the performing arts and achieve well in response to effective teaching. Students are well behaved within the school, are well motivated and make good progress. Leaders and managers, including governors, make a consistently positive impact on improving the school, including the quality of teaching and students' achievement. The headteacher is very well thought of, makes well planned and effective changes within the school and also serves as an advisor to other headteachers within the county. Students can choose from a wide range of activities which complement and extend learning. There are many varied facilities within the school to cater for these activities such as a large performing arts department and extensive physical education facilities.

There are nearby points of interest including the Essex County Cricket ground, and the home of the "V" festival. The nearest international airport is only 30 minutes away by car, and Central London is approximately one hour away by train.

To be eligible to apply for this position you are required to be a qualified teacher or a teacher who is qualifying before September 2014.
