Class 2 LGV – Newcastle Aiport

About the Role

Working in our Newcastle Service Delivery department, you will play a vital role in ensuring that flights are fully catered and depart on time. This will involve the loading ofcatering and bars equipment from our airport side location on to one of our 17 tonne rigid vehicles then driving this airside to the aircraft and loading the equipment onto the plane.

You would be working for us at our Newcastle airport site on a fixed term contract due to expire October 2015. You will need an LGV License Class C Required (Class 2) with less than 6 points, full CPC and we will provide you training to do the rest!

Contracts are for up to 40 hours per week working shifts on a rota basis and will include a mixture of evening and weekend shifts.

About You

You must have a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work and enjoy working as part of team in a fast moving environment where deadlines are tight to ensure that flights depart on time.

Due to the nature of the role this requires a lot of lifting, bending and stretching with only a small percentage of your time spent driving. Basic numerical and checking skills are essential for this role and will be tested for at interview stage.

As part of this position you will require an Airside Pass, this will require us carrying out a full 5 year background and criminal records check on all successful applications which can take up to 4 weeks to complete.

Whilst on shift you will receive free meals and car parking at the airport.
