Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer
Salary: £25,000 - £45,000 plus benefits depending on qualifications and experience.
Location - Positions available in Glasgow and Edinburgh areas.
Advance Construction Scotland are the largest privately owned groundworks civil engineering company in Scotland and one of the most successful and highly regarded contractors who have a number of Site Engineer positions
available in both East and West locations.
Our site engineers apply designs and plans to mark out the site and can be involved in projects ranging from small works to multi million pound ventures. A site engineer works as part of the site management team, liaising with and
working alongside clients, engineers, construction managers, surveyors and should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience on civil, road, infrastructure and housing developments. The ideal candidate should have experience using robotic total stations, be proficient with AutoCAD (training can be provided for AutoCAD) and have a strong work ethic, typical work activities are noted below:-
• Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site;
• Setting out, levelling and surveying the site;
• Preparing drawings for site personnel in AutoCAD format;
• Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy;
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
• Preparing drainage take-offs, RFI’s and CVI’s;
• Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
• Day-to-day management of workload on the site;
• Overseeing engineering quality control on site;
• Preparing reports as required;
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise;
