Joining them as Lecturer in Animal Welfare, Behaviour & Science, your primary objective is to enable a group(s) of students to develop learning in the specified subject and to fulfil the aims of the curriculum programme of study.

As a part time member of the land based directorate, you will be responsible to the Technical Academy Leader for Animal Welfare and Vet Nursing who will nominate a mentor.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you possess a Degree (or equivalent) qualification in Animal Behaviour and Science or a related subject.  GCSE grade A-C (or equivalent) qualification in Maths and English or a willingness to achieve literacy and numeracy qualifications within the first 12 months of employment is also important.  Our client also asks that you are willing to undertake a CPD.

Previous experience within Animal Care, Welfare or Zoological setting (either commercial, industrial and / or teaching) is a requirement coupled with theoretical and practical knowledge to teach a range of topics in the specified subject.

In addition, we ask that candidates have demonstrable experience of teaching FE and HE to a high standard, particularly to 14-16 year olds in an educational setting.
