Job Title: Sessional Support Worker – Premier Crew Relief Bank
Location: Basingstoke and New Forest, Hampshire
Salary: £7.75 to £10.91 per Hour + Weekend and waking night enhancements and additional sleep-in payments dependant on shifts accepted
To start as soon as possible.
Our client is a registered charity that provides care, support and advice to vulnerable people across Portsmouth, Hampshire and Dorset, giving them the tools and resources they need to live independent, secure and valued lives.
They are looking for caring and supportive relief workers to make a real difference to their clients in their Basingstoke Homelessness Service and their Learning Disability Service in the New Forest.
At the heart of this role are the skills to listen to people and understand them, being someone to talk to about any issues, and providing the support and encouragement their clients want when there are problems. Assisting people with their day to day lives, supporting them to make life choices, to achieve independence and fulfill their ambitions.
Their Premier Crew workers are absolute superstars! Stepping in to help services when staff members are poorly, covering training and annual leave or simply lending a helping hand; sometimes at short notice. Being flexible, reliable, person-centred and passionate about being the best you can be are essential qualities that all of their best Sessional Support Workers have. Please note; it’s also essential that you have experience of working with vulnerable people to be considered for Premier Crew.
Does this sound like you?
If so, and they really hope it does, you could be the person their services rely on to provide top quality support to their clients and staff members. In turn you will be welcomed into their family and provided with a comprehensive training package during your induction period, with opportunities for ongoing development. This is such a rewarding role, so if this sounds like something you’d relish they can’t wait to hear from you!
Dates for assessment and interview are on 23 and 24 February and again on 10 and 11 March so please ensure your availability either in February or March if you would like to apply.
They also have volunteer opportunities available across the organisation.
Please apply online with your CV and covering letter.
Please check your email for confirmation that your application has been received and to follow further instructions if applicable.
