PRODUCTION SUPERVISORS
Our Engine Manufacturing Centre is one of the most advanced of its kind ever built in the UK. Set to change the nature of engine manufacturing across the industry, it’s your expertise and vision that will help to shape it. Driving our success from within, you’ll use your fresh-thinking, determination and skills to produce the next generation of engines. Engines that will power future Jaguar and Land Rover models and make an impression around the world.
What to expect
As a leading member of our Powertrain Production Operations team, you’ll put growth, learning and continuous improvement at the forefront. Your attitude, along with that of your team, will be tenacious as you work together to achieve key launch milestones. We’ll look to you to provide operational leadership on all group based activities, applying Lean Master Class tools to ensure productivity targets are achieved in line with policy deployed objectives, and quickly identifying and resolving any issues that arise. Part of your role will also include delivering safety targets through the application of hazard spotting, near-miss and accident reporting, and risk assessment. And of course, you’ll be an inspirational figure, guiding team leaders and manufacturing team members in their roles and development, and ensuring that a supportive and pleasant working environment is enjoyed by all.
What you’ll need
With an understanding of Manufacturing Quality Operation System requirements and the ability to resolve problems by interpreting data and using the 8D format, we’ll expect you to have superb communication and IT skills. Experience of lean tools is essential, as is previous launch and machining or engine assembly experience, and knowledge of production management and manpower planning. A good understanding of industrial engineering processes and Six Sigma tools and techniques would be a plus, as would an appreciation of statistical process control and control plans. You’ll also need to be prepared to work a variety of shift patterns.
Bring your experience to the most cutting-edge environment you’ll have ever experienced, and you’ll quickly find yourself honing your skills and enjoying the development opportunities that you’d expect from two of the world’s most revered brands. A privilege car purchase scheme, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme will also be yours. Our vehicles are ready to be powered by what’s inside. Our Engine Manufacturing Centre is ready to be powered by you.
