Manufacturing Group Leader

Job Elements: -

• To organise and lead a team responsible for the production of products to meet business output needs.
• Prioritises and schedules work to meet business needs.
• Works on the production line as necessary to cover breaks and short absences.
• Keep accurate records and measures of production methods, test results and performance indices.
• Participate in the set-up of new procedures and processes.
• Operate in line with company quality standards and appropriate regulatory authorities.
• Provide the leadership and training required to achieve empowered and motivated individuals and effective co-operation within and between teams.
• Ensure all staff have up to date job descriptions, training plans & records and goals in line with the needs of the business.
• Carry out staff appraisals to agreed timetable and assist the Value Stream Supervisor in the provision of development plans.
• Assist Value Stream Supervisor in selection and recruitment of staff.

The ideal candidate will have:

• We are seeking someone with relevant experience in a manufacturing, highly regulated company, with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing organisation.
• Degree qualified or a minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience.
• Preferably with a management qualification (ILM, NEBS etc).
• Ability to carry out structured problem solving.
• Ability to communicate effectively across functions
• Ability to recruit, develop and coach staff.
• Understand and applies HR policies and systems.
• As above preferably with a management qualification.
