Debt Advisor

StepChange Debt Charity is seeking a Debt Advisor to join us in Chester on a Permanent basis. The successful applicant will receive £19,955 per annum.

We’re currently recruiting for a team of Debt Advisors to provide appropriate debt advice and support to clients who have contacted us with financial worries.

Debt Advisors will need:

- Excellent communication skills

- The ability to quickly analyse complex problems and recommend solutions

- The ability to empathise with clients whilst retaining an objective and realistic approach

- Good attention to detail is a must

- The ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel is also essential

Some experience of dealing with clients directly is important.

Knowledge of money advice would be preferable but is not essential as we’ll give you full training.

Debt Advisors will be working a rotating shift pattern Monday-Friday:

- Week one will be 10am to 6pm

- Week two will be 12.30pm to 8.30pm

- You'll also work alternate Saturdays from 9am to 2pm (On the weeks where you work Saturdays you'll have a day off during the week)

- You’ll have Sundays off every week

The start date will be 06 April 2015 and to give you the best possible start you’ll attend a 6 week training academy.
