Graduate Project Engineer

• For reasons of reorganisation & planned growth activities our client is looking to recruit for additional people to join their South Wales based team.
• As part of this expansion plan our client is looking to recruit a Graduate of Mechanical Engineering with a view to training the successful applicant to become a Project Engineer.
• This is a new role.
• The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues / teams in both the UK and their headquarters in Mainland Europe.
• After a period of training the successful candidate will be expected to run projects from client enquiry through to Start of Production.
• This will be a wide ranging role with frequent contact with Sales, Design, Development, Manufacturing, Quality.
• The role will also include regular contact with our clients within the automotive sector and could well include frequent travel.

ideal candidate will have:

• A graduate of Mechanical Engineering (ideally 2:1 or above)
• Ideally some industrial experience from within the automotive sector.
• Experience of CAD systems
• Thorough understanding and ability to read technical drawings
• A keen interest in vehicles, engines and drive trains would be highly desirable
• Excellent communications skills
• IT literate
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn
