Algorithms Researcher

Working as part of our IP Development team, undertaking algorithm development for our existing and planned range of  video analytics products.

Job description: The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of algorithms and software to support SoC integration of Video processing and Computer Vision IP blocks with a variety of embedded processors.  Working closely with software and hardware engineers they will deliver robust, optimized code, to tight memory/processor footprints and real-time performance

Skills Required:

Essential:

• Real time algorithms development
• Software development in C or C++
• Excellent academic qualifications with a relevant technical first degree at 2:1 or above

Desirable:

• Matlab and MEX
• Scripting (Python/Bash/Tcl/Perl)
• image processing/video processing

Experience Required: A strong mathematical background is essential. Previous commercial development experience is desirable; a pure research background may be acceptable for a really strong candidate.  In addition they will need the following experience:

• System integration

• Platform independent code development would be helpful
